The “Skills Development for a Future Job Placement and Improved Socio-economic Resilience of Migrants and Egyptians” project aims to enhance the livelihoods and self-reliance of 1,200 refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and Egyptians in Greater Cairo, through facilitating their access to wage employment. This intervention is funded by the Swiss Embassy in Egypt and led by the Center for Development Services (CDS) in partnership with the Chamber of Food Industries (CFI).
CDS delivers the 3S approach employability training program to the beneficiaries. This holistic approach to training consists of three main components (self-discovery, social intelligence, and sorting out employment opportunities). This is complemented by a vocational training that consists of theoretical and practical components.
